About

I’m a UX designer with a background in cognitive ergonomics and a quiet obsession with clarity. I work best where journeys are complex, tools are messy, or teams need help turning intention into something real.

Approach

Calm, collaborative, and detail-focused. I enjoy working with product owners, BAs, content designers, and developers to get things right. Adapting process to fit the team, the client, and the challenge. I’m comfortable in the grey areas, figuring out what matters, what’s possible, and what users really need.

Path

I studied Product Design. A broad, hands-on degree where I built everything from electronic cat flaps to lighting systems and driver feedback tools. After graduating, I joined AKQA, and picked up front-end development on the job, and later moved to TESCO, designing fitness gear, toys, and camping equipment.

UX gave me the chance to bring product thinking and development experience together. Since then, I’ve worked across industries from eLearning and telecoms to courier services, real estate, entertainment, and insurance.

Beyond work

Away from the screen, I tend to go around in circles. Whether motor racing (having competed in karts and cars), laps on the road bike, or more recently, falling off a surfboard. When things slow down, I’m usually out hiking with friends.
